NEGOTIATION SKILLS ARE IN DEMAND

The World Economic Forum, in the Future of Work Report, lists negotiation as one of the top 10 skills you will need in 2020. In the state of California, between June 2018 to July 2019 there have been over 48,000 job postings that list negotiation skills as a key requirement. According to Burning Glass data retrieved on 10 October 2019, this is a 65 percent increase in demand year-on-year.

In Northern California alone, there were nearly 15,000 job postings total between July 2018 to June 2019. A third of these jobs (4,790) were for management-level positions, and one quarter of postings are for sales-related positions (3,598), according to Burning Glass.

No matter your industry or level of employment, negotiation is an increasingly important skill in the workplace. This online short course from UC Davis can help you strengthen your position in any negotiation.

The modules were easy to follow and each learning objective was built on the previous one, so we could develop our skills as we went along.
